EASTER EGG RELAYS

Sixty four juniors (16 teams) , seniors, parents, coaches and siblings ran in this year’s Easter Egg Relays. Well done to everyone who competed.

QUADKIDS @ WALTHAMSTOW

A total of 50 juniors competed in the Quadkids competition on the 15th and 22nd March. There were lots of PB’s in all four events ( running, sprinting, jumping and throwing) . We recognised everyone’s achievement at Quadkids presentation.

Chingford Plains – Sign in on the plains and NOT at the club house.

NO DROPPING OFF AT THE CLUB HOUSE

  • 6.30pm – 6.45pm
  • First Race 7pm
  • Cost = FREE
  • U9=SCHOOL YEAR 4 AND UNDER – Run 1k
  • U11=SCHOOL YEAR 5 & 6 – Run 2k

 
No under 11’s training run due to this race.
 

This league is open to all our younger members. There are six races over the season and if you compete in 5 out of 6 races (thus allowing for any illnesses) you will receive a medal whatever your final finishing position.
 
There are also trophies for the top three in each age group. There’s no need to pre – register, just turn up and run!

ESSEX COUNTY TRACK AND FIELD OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP

15th and 16th May @ Chelmsford

This championship is pre entry ONLY and YOU are responsible for your own entry. Postal entries are now CLOSED online entries close Thursday 21st April.
 

As ever late entries will NOT be accepted.
 

When registering you will need your England Athletics registration number. If you have mislaid or lost your number you can contact Christine Inch  inches.2@btopenworld.com> 

Please note that your Orion membership needs to be up to date for you to be registered with England Athletics. NO number NO entry.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE (YDL)

UNDER 13’s (school year 6 & 7 ) & UNDER 15’s (school year 8 & 9 ) – YDL lower league
UNDER 17’s (school years 10 & 11) and UNDER 20’S  – YDL upper league

For those members that are new to the club the above league is the athletics league we compete in over the course of the summer. There are four meetings per age groups and one is a home meet that we are hosting at Ashton track (Woodford) due to lack of facilities at Walthamstow.
