Wednesday Club Runs

*A Guide to Wednesday Club Runs*
We have six groups of varying paces, leaving the clubhouse at 7pm.
Group 1 is typically in the forest, all weathers, at a pace of 7-8 minute miles.
Group 2 is, again, typically in the forest at a pace of 8-9 minute miles, though nearer to 8.30-8.40mm.
Group 3 is predominantly on the road at a pace of 9-10mm.
Group 4 is typically a road run of 10-11mm.
Group 5 is also predominantly road running at a pace of 11-12mm.
Group 6 is designed for those new to running or making a return to running. Before long, you can expect to be in Group 5.
In the longer days of British Summer Time, all groups run in the forest. In our supportive groups, no one is left behind. If you’re finding yourself pushing the pace at the front of a group, we encourage you to try the next group up where you’ll find more friendly faces to run with. See Spond for details of each run which the group leader will post in advance.

Please book Wednesday runs through the Spond app. You will need to download the app (it’s free) to book your space. Please follow this link and request to join. Your request will be approved, then you can select the group you would like to run with. If spaces are booked up the app will put you in a waiting list. The meeting point is written within the description.
 If anyone would like to help lead groups in the future please contact Katherine Taylor who can add you to the Rota. There is no need for a qualification to lead a group, just a knowledge of a couple of nice routes will suffice. The more leaders we have the more groups we can support!
All runs will be at 7PM from the advertised starting point. We are so looking forward to seeing you there!
