Young Orion Harriers duo from Burnham on Crouch, Shay Joyce 19 and Danielle Sale 16,
did Orion Harriers proud after being named in Essex County Teams to contest the National
Inter-Counties 10K Road Running Championships away up in County Durham.
In effectively one of the best British Senior Fields assembled,
(short of those at the Olympics), Danielle finished 20th in 37.54
from a field of 200 women. Shay finished 74th in 36.06 from 600 men.
A double success for Orion Harriers and the dynamic duo from the
"Maxine Joyce Coaching Stable" as Shay Joyce paced the race spot on,
coming to the front in the last half mile to score his first
victory in the Crown to Crown summer series of races. Danielle Sale
was clear winner in the Womens Race (First Senior and Junior Woman),
and 5th overall in a field of 70 runners.

at Essex xc League Fixture at One Tree Hill. Shay (we think finished 2nd in the U20 Mens race)
was 23rd of 200 seniors in the combined race.
Sunday 24 October - Landon 5 A tough xc Event - Shay won the Mens Race and Danielle Won the Womens!
Danielle has been named in the SEAA Representative Junior Womens Team to compete
in an International Fixture in Belgium on 7 November (Coach Maxine will travel with her).
