it’s time for
Marathon Training
First of all, congrats on your marathon place.
We can’t pretend that running a marathon isn’t tough, but the training can be tougher. So to help, we offer group sessions each week leaving from our clubhouse. Whether it’s your first marathon or you’ve already smashed a few, running in a group makes those miles go by quicker whilst sharing advice with others.
Our Marathon training sessions start from the first weekend in January until Aprils London Marathon.
The goal is start building you up from 8 miles gradually in 10% increments, getting you ready for that all important day.

Remember less than
1% of the global population
will ever run a marathon.
The Details
When:
Sunday or Saturday group options.
Where:
From our clubhouse, either around the local roads or in the forest
Time:
Typically 7-7:30am on Saturday, and 8:30 on a Sunday.
Price:
Free for existing members.
For none members we offer 2 x free taster sessions after which we would encourage you to join the club for a small yearly fee – this would give you access to additional races and other weekly training sessions. Sign up on our free club app before attending,
Our Club App:
We use our club app to keep everyone up to date on the session details (distance and route etc) as well as any last minute changes to the start time. Download (for free) and signup to let us know you’re coming.
What to bring:
The weather will dictate how many layers, but the usual rules apply of good trainers, non-rub t-shirt or top, leggings or trousers along, with a water bottle. and any gels needed for those longer runs.
