Inaugural Essex Fell Race Championship

Essex AA will be selecting at least two male runners and at least two female runners, from the race results to represent Essex in the Fell Running Inter counties at Sedbergh on 3^rd May 2026

2pm start

 10km (ish) through Epping Forest with beautiful views of the forest and London.

£5 entry fee to include a free drink at the end back in the Orion Harriers Clubhouse

Essex County medals awarded to first 3 men/women in the open category

Age group prizes supplied by Orion Harriers (V40/V50/V60/V70) both men and women

Minimum age is 16

Everyone is welcome but to qualify to represent Essex you must meet the criteria outlined on this page

Fully marshalled and UK FRA licensed

Paid parking in Epping Forest Corporation car parks or free street parking in surrounding streets

Frequent trains from Liverpool Street to Chingford (25 mins)

Please note start and finish are in separate locations

Start is a 1m jog from the clubhouse

Essex Qualification Criteria

In order to ‘qualify’ to compete for Essex:

• You must be born in Essex, or lived in Essex for at least 9 months.

• You must be attached to an England Athletics registered club (your club does not have to be in or affiliated to Essex)

• You must not have competed for another county or in another county championships event in the previous competition year (1st September to 31st August)
