This is the post I'd intended to make yesterday! Congatulations to all of the divison winners. There will be a trophy waiting for them at the Presentation/Social Evening in October. The tables show each of the divisions, with promoted and relegated runners highlighted. Club House Extension Gets The Go Ahead
We got approval last week from the Corporation of London for our plans for the much needed clubhouse extension. It is an exciting project that will more than double the amount of space we have. The next steps are to submit the planning application and to raise the money we need. We will put updates with the plans on the wall in the clubhouse. This is a big project for the whole club. Congratulations to Ben Hall Orion XC champion 2015/16 – only 34 people have won this in the 93 times it has been run – Brilliant running!!!! SEAA Masters XC champs
On Saturday gone, an "elite" group of Orion vet 40s, the rather good looking bunch of blokes pictured below, went to the SEAA Masters XC champs at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, where a gritty performance saw Team Orion home in 4th place. At a fantastic championship course next to the Biggleswade aerodrome and with winds of up to 40mph, Kent AC showed their class to get their 3 scorers in the top 11.
