SOCIAL / TRAINING RUNS

We have six groups of varying paces, leaving the clubhouse at 7pm each Wednesday.
  • Group 1 is typically in the forest, all weathers, at a pace of 7-8 minute miles, targeting 10k distance.
  • Group 2 is, again, typically in the forest at a pace of 8-9 minute miles, though nearer to 8.30-8.40mm, targeting 10k distance.
  • Group 3 is either in the forest or a run on the road at a pace of 9-10mm, targeting 10k distance.
  • Group 4 is typically a road run of 10-11mm, targeting 8-10k distance.
  • Group 5 is also predominantly road running at a pace of 11-12mm, targeting 8k distance.
  • Group 6 is designed for those new to running or making a return to running running various distances dependent on the group
In the longer days of British Summer Time, all groups aim to run in the beautiful forest.
In these supportive groups, no one is left behind.
If you’re finding yourself pushing the pace at the front of a group, we encourage you to try the next group up..
We use ‘Spond’ to cordinate the runs and provide details of each route, which the group leader will post in advance.

If you would like to join us for a Wednesday run, please book through the Spond app. You will need to download the app (it’s free) to book your space. Please follow this link and request to join. Your request will be approved, then you can select the group you would like to run with. The meeting point is written within the description, although is typically the club house.
